Meet with Congress: Build Back Better for Seniors!

 

Last week, Senate Democrats moved in unity to pass a budget resolution, the first step to advancing President Biden’s $3.5 trillion Build Back Better plan. Now we’re calling on you to join us in encouraging your member of congress to keep the momentum.

The budget resolution creates the opportunity to significantly improve the lives of millions of seniors by expanding Medicare to include vision, hearing, and dental coverage as well as empowering Medicare to negotiate with the big pharmaceutical corporations to lower the cost of prescription drugs.

The resolution also advances a once-in-a-generation opportunity to support family caregivers while ensuring home and community care jobs are good, family-sustaining jobs, by placing a much needed $400 billion investment into home and community based services.

The Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans knows that this plan will be a big step in advancing our mission of retirement with dignity and economic security for every American.
